Math Circle

The Calgary JAMES (Junior Alberta Mathematics for Eager Students) mathematics circle explores various problem solving techniques and problems from various math competitions. We look at many different fields within math including number theory, graph theory, combinations and geometry. We aim to tackle larger problems systematically and logically. The circle's primary audience is high performing junior high (Grade 7, Grade 8 and Grade 9) students, although some Grade 6 students also attend.

Anyone who is interested in trying new problems or learning math beyond the standard curriculum is welcome. There is no cost to join and you do not need to register; you can just drop in and see if you are interested. All you need to bring is paper, a pencil and a curious mind.
