Abstract: Analytic Automorphisms of a Field of Compacts Appeared: Journal of Operator Theory, Vol. 28, 1992. Non-self-adjoint crossed products are used to study the isomorphism problem in the simplest case of a C*-dynamical system with a non-discrete group acting non-freely. In this case, any analytic automorphism of the transformation group C*-algebra induces an orientation and measure class preserving homeomorphism of the underlying circle. This result extends to the class of analytic subalgebras of a certain field of compact operators determined by a nest of projections. Michael P. Lamoureux University of Calgary
