Academic Information

I am currently an assistant professor at the University of Calgary in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, where I am also a member of CISaC, the Centre for Information Security and Crytography.

I recently held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research, which is part of the University of Waterloo. I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Professor Nigel Boston was my thesis advisor. I am interested in Algebraic Number Theory and its applications to cryptography.

A list of my preprints available for download may be found here .

My CV is available in the following formats:

I did my undergraduate work at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. (As a point of interest, the proper pronunciation of Willamette rhymes with damn it) My degree from Willamette is a B.S. in Business-Economics and Mathematics.
