Study Abroad

Submitted by admin on Mon, 05/07/2007 - 1:20pm.

With the number of students going abroad outside of established UofC exchanges or group programs increasing, there is a risk of the UofC finding students encountering difficulties.

We encourage students (and everyone going abroad) to attend a Departure Briefing offered by the International Students and Study Abroad office. We have prepared a handout for students going abroad on individual programs (practicums, internships, independent research or study, etc.)

Please note that the International Travel Policy is still in effect and students traveling to some countries are required a Departure Briefing either through CISSA or their Faculty: to attend going to Low Risk and Moderate Risk (Briefing recommended) High or Extreme Risk countries require a briefing.

If you have any questions regarding this handout or wish to have more information on CISSA Departure Briefings, please do not hesitate to contact:  Glynn Hunter, Director, Centre for International Students & Study Abroad:
