Through funding provided by the Vice-Provost (International), the University International Grants Committee (UIGC) promotes the overall internationalization goals of the University through the distribution of project grants to be used for international purposes.

Full-time graduate and undergraduates may also apply for project grants, but must obtain the signature of their Dean or Department Head, or if the project is of a non-academic nature must have the project sponsored by the Students' Union or Graduate Students' Academic or an administrative unit at the University of Calgary.
