The following awards and research opportunities may be of interest to students of Mathematics and Statistics. Other undergraduate awards, bursaries, and loans are also available. Student Activities Fund

The Student Activities Fund is a new collaboration between the Students’ Union Quality Money program and the University of Calgary. The fund will disperse up to $65,000 every year to qualifying undergraduate and graduate students.  There are three application periods:  deadlines of Feb. 15, April 1 and Oct. 19.

Applications will be considered for travel, conferences, projects or other activities that will build students’ leadership potential and align with both their educational and professional development goals.

UIGC International Project Grants

Through funding provided by the Vice-Provost (International), the University International Grants Committee (UIGC) promotes the overall internationalization goals of the University through the distribution of project grants to be used for international purposes.

Talisman Energy Awards

Talisman Energy Inc. Undergraduate Scholarships in Energy and Related Studies in Science is now underway. There are 7 awards available valued at $10,000 each. Students can pick up the application form for these awards at the Dean's Office (BI 570)or by emailing science@ucalgary.ca.

NSERC-CMS Math in Moscow Scholarships

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) support scholarships at $9,000 each.  Canadian students registered in a mathematics or computer science program are eligible.  The scholarships are to attend a semester at the small elite Moscow Independent University.

DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship

DAAD Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE)
