- Noncommutative rings, especially classes of exchange rings
- Study of classes of semiperfect min-injective rings, with applications to the Faith conjecture and other questions
- Study of clean rings and their relationship to unit regular and stable rings
- Morphic rings and modules
- Reflexivity of direct sums of modules over finite dimensional algebras
