Nowadays Time Series analysis is widely used in statistics, signal processing, economics and many other fields. The key question in all these applications is to understand where the time series came from, and most importantly what generated them? Key mathematical and statistical backgrounds of these analyses will be also addressed in this brief presentation. We will also discuss the potential drawbacks embedded in
this approach.
