2010 PIMS-Robert Barington Leigh Memorial Fellow

The 2010 PIMS-Robert Barrington Leigh Memorial Fellow was awarded to WEILIAN CHU, Grandview Heights Junior High School, Edmonton (Grade IX), at a banquet in honour of winners of Alberta High School Mathematics Contest (AHSMC) Part II, Saturday night (10 April 2010). This award recognizes a student whose Part II contest result in the Alberta High School Mathematics Contest is at least as good as the Grade 10 or Grade 11 winner, and who is in a lower grade level. The PIMS award in this category, which has existed for many years, was renamed in 2007 in honour of Robert Barrington Leigh, an Alberta student (former AHSMC winner and two-time IMO Team member) who passed away in 2006.
